"If you're looking to spend a weekend in Philly", this "functional" high-rise has an "excellent location" "right in the middle of Avenue of the Arts" and close to the "Kimmel Center, theaters and fine restaurants"; "it's not a five-star facility", but you get "everything you expect from this chain", from "oversize rooms" to the "freshly baked cookies" to the "friendly, efficient" staff, plus the "rates are reasonable", "especially for families."

I really liked the interior design of the newly renovated room. I hope the lobby area will look just as appealing and attractive.
My complaint about the indoor pool is that it needs to be set at a higher temperature for the guests' comfort. Although it's a heated pool, it's cold.

The hotel is so conveniently located to many areas that guests are interested in. One suggestion for improvement is to make the lobby area warmer in temperature. It's rather chilly sitting in the lobby area during the winter season. The newly renovated rooms are beautifully furnished; the colors blend so nicely. Another suggestion is to heat the pool to a comfortable temperature; families would be more apt to use the facility, even during the winter months. Also, vending machines should be located on certain floors, so that guests could avail themselves when the gift shop is closed. Please consider these suggestions as I am a returning guest, and I believe this hotel has much to offer. ...read more

The room was spacious and very comfortable.
Parking fees were an added nuisance.

The hotel was close to the Philadelphia Orchestra, the staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel and room were exceptionally clean and comfortable.

Great location & very good accommodations!
Pool and hot tub under repair! Expensive restaurants!

The hotel location is absolutely perfect and the accommodations for rooms were superb. Unfortunately, the pool and hot tub were unavailable be cause the they were under repair for the last 2 months!!! This was a big disappointment for our stay! The response by the front desk was that we could go down the street to the 12th street gym and enjoy thier hot tub and pool. ...read more

Moisturizer and foaming face wash - thank you!
Pay for internet in room but free in lobby.

Pet peeve - hotels that leave the eco-conscious notes about only washing towels that you leave on the floor but then remove the ones you hang up to dry on the door and replace with new ones. Added plus at this hotel - having shut off all lights to conserve energy on my way out, came back to clean room with four, count them, four separate lights burning. Internet service is only free in the lobby, not rooms. Doors slam shut with no ability to keep them from making loud noise. Awesome alternative to security chains, however. Overall a very serviceable hotel with convenient location to theater and arts district, transportation, and business. ...read more
